Vril Tan Vrët

Vril Tan Vrët (/vril/ /tan/ [abundant; lush; fertile] [toy]) is a subtropical Town located in the Ḿoůma H́ueo̊ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Vril Tan Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Vril Tan Vrët was founded by Treg̈kdshê Yandieri Zilvagee, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Vril Tan Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 14°C (57°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 2°C (35°F). Vril Tan Vrët receives an average of 153 cm/y (60 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Vril Tan Vrët covers an area of nearly 6 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 2008 m (6587 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Vril Tan Vrët was founded durring the late 18th century in late summer of the year 1693, by Treg̈kdshê Yandieri Zilvagee. The establishment of Vril Tan Vrët was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Treg̈kdshê Yandieri Zilvagee electing to pay people to resettle in Vril Tan Vrët.

Vril Tan Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vril Tan Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Vril Tan Vrët is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of narrow paverstone streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Vril Tan Vrët's bare minimum defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Vril Tan Vrët has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Vril Tan Vrët’s streets. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as relaxing. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Civic Infrastructure

Vril Tan Vrët has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Vril Tan Vrët. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Vril Tan Vrët's parks.

Vril Tan Vrët has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Vril Tan Vrët has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Vril Tan Vrët's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Vril Tan Vrët possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Vril Tan Vrët's grid is powered by a god's will and kindness.

Vril Tan Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Vril Tan Vrët's natural decorations nor waterways.

Vril Tan Vrët has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.

Vril Tan Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Vril Tan Vrët has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Vril Tan Vrët's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is based upon new and innovative technologies of construction and the idea that form should follow function. It was an embrace of minimalism and a rejection of ornament. The style became characterized by an emphasis on volume, asymmetrical compositions, and minimal ornamentation..

In Vril Tan Vrët the utterance of expletives is impossible within city limits. This has changed as the limits have changed, but has not kept up with slang, or swearing in foreign languages.

The Yothga near Vril Tan Vrët are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Vril Tan Vrët's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves performance art to channel Mysticism energies of tier 3 via speaking in tongues.

Economy
